Terms & Conditions & Stuff

Most of our products are hand-made to order, and all of our products are made from the highest quality anti-pilling Polar Fleece and carefully sewn and hand finished. Each hammock has sturdy stainless steel clips for attaching to almost any cage.

Every product has enclosed seams for safety and durability and most products are dual layer to give a good solid finish. All seams are clipped and special attention is paid to ensure all loose threads are removed from enclosed seams to prevent any unwanted accidents

Most of our products are Hand Made To Order, however we do try and keep a small range of Ready Made Items available throughout the year for Customers who want or need a bed quite quickly.

To purchase an item all you need to do is add it to your Basket and when you have finished shopping you can View Cart and Checkout.

Before you place an order, please familiarise yourself with our Terms and Conditions.

When you place an order, you please make sure all your details are up to date, especially your registered email address, as this is often the only point of contact we have with you and if it is out of date or you never check it we will struggle to contact you if there is an issue with your order.

When placing an order it helps to add your phone number just in case we are unable to contact you via email due to filters and such like.

When you have placed an order, you will receive a confirmation, via email, within 2 working days. If you do not recieve an email confirming your order within this time, it is imperative that you get in touch with us to check everything is Ok. Failure to do this could result in delays with our ability to process your order on time.

Delivery & Shipping Information

R2G Items - Dispatched every Friday

Hand Made To Order Items - Dispatched within approx 10 working days*

International - Currently under review. Please get in touch if you would like to place an order and live outside the UK.

Please check your Product Details carefully to avoid disappointment.

You will receive an email to confirm the dispatch of your item within 2 - 10 working days of purchase. This email will also include any Tracking details (if relevant).

Although we aim to make and dispatch most orders within 10 working days of receiving payment (not inclusive of weekends or Public Holidays), we would ask you to bear with us at our busiest times of year when things get a little hectic.

*Due to the bespoke nature of most of our products there are sometimes manufacturing hitches along the way. If the material you ordered is out of stock, short or faulty (sometimes fabric off the roll holds horrid little surprises for us which are beyond our control) for any reason there can sometimes be a delay of up to 6 weeks whilst we source a replacement and then the further 10 working day manufacturing period on top of this. Where this is the case we will contact you to let you know and offer you an alternative. If you decide to stick with your original choice we will dispatch within 8 working weeks of your payment or offer you a full refund.

Where possible we keep you updated via email if there are any problems, so if you are awaiting news on your order, please check your Junk Mail in case we've been booted in there!

Please bear in mind that Hammocky Hammocks is run by volunteers, in our spare time, purely to raise money for Animal Rescues in the UK. Sometimes life gets in the way of Hammocking and whilst we do try our best to keep up with with orders, sometimes we do suffer unavoidable delays. Where possible (a working email address at point of order helps!) we keep our customers up to date, and when delays occur, a refund is always available for all orders unless they are bespoke - please refer to the previous paragraph.

Lost / Undelivered Goods

If your purchase has been dispatched and you are concerned that it is delayed, or worse, lost, please follow the steps below before contacting us.

Courier (Hermes, TNT, UPS, Yodel)

All orders sent via courier will have a tracking number attached and we advise you check this before contacting us. If something goes wrong or there is a problem please contact us.

Royal Mail

You need to allow 15 working days from the date of Dispatch (UK) before an item is considered missing by Royal Mail / Courier. Please allow 25 working days for International Orders.

Check with your neighbours who may have taken the parcel in on your behalf.

Check with your local Royal Mail Collection office, they may be holding the item for you (they don't always leave a card!).

If your item is un-delivered please contact us for a Non Delivery form.

The completed form has to be returned within 28 days, and upon receipt we will send out a replacement order to your address.

We try and keep our prices as low as possible, which is a bit easier for us than most companies, as we don't have any any staff whinging about pay rises!

All our products are priced in accordance with how much the materials cost us to buy. Sometimes you might see something in the shop that is a bit more expensive than another similar item in a different colour or pattern. The reason will be that that particular fabric has a much higher purchase price and therefore we've had to up the sale price a wee bit. We do prefer to buy reasonably priced Fleece where possible but occasionally, just occasionally we find a pattern that is irresistible and take a chance that you will agree with us!

Returns Policy & Refunds

If your Goodies have turned up and they are not what you were expecting, just get in touch with us either via our Contact Form or by responding to your Dispatch Email.

Please make sure you inspect and thoroughly check your product/s over upon arrival and before you put it them in your cage.
Once the product has been used and exposed to animals, we cannot be held responsible for any problems you may discover at a later date.

If you have used and/or washed your items (we can easily tell because the first thing we do is SNIFF), you may be able to sell it through one of the many pet forums or offer it through your local Freecycle website.

If you return items that we reject for refund/exchange because they have clearly been used or washed, you will need to pay the cost of postage for returning them to you, if you'd like them back. Otherwise we will donate them to one of our nominated Animal Rescues.

  • To return an item all you need to do is let us know within 3 days of receipt, explain why you want to return the goods and remember to include your original Order Number.
  • Custom items are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that there is a fault with your custom item, or it has been damaged in transit, we are happy to investigate, repair or replace it.
  • If you wish to exchange a product for a different size, shape or colour let us know when you initially get in touch.
  • Upon receipt of your Returns Request we will email you our address and you must then return the goods to us in an unsoiled, unused condition, in the original packaging with tags, within 14 days.
  • We recommend you return the items by Recorded Delivery or a similar service that provides proof of delivery, which insures against loss or damage. If we do not receive your returned item/s we cannot replace the items or refund them.
  • If you received the wrong item or the item was faulty we will reimburse postage costs.

We respect your privacy and will never release your email to anyone, not even if they threatened us with a soggy fish slap!

Your email details will be used solely in regard to any order you place with us or, if you've signed up for the Newsletter, we'll occasionally bug you with news and offers.

If for any reason you do receive unsolicited mail from a Hammocky Hammock address please contact us, and we'll kick some behinds!
